Everything you need to know before buying Windows, Doors or a Conservatory

Double GlazingAlthough your house is probably made of bricks and mortar,  it is the windows that make the first impression.  Good windows will make a good property extraordinary where as bad windows at best will make to bland at worst make it ugly.

There is not just the profile manufacturer or who will fit the windows but the style of windows, how many Transoms and mullions, weather you use dummy vents. If you are having Georgian bars will these be internal or external Etc.

Before you decide which company you want to supply and fit your windows I would  first consider the following:

What colour will your new windows be - probably white but don’t rule out changing to oak, rosewood or even black, visit a few showrooms and look at the differences

Pick one style, irrelevant of width and height, i.e. if you have fan lights, make sure these carry on through the property if you use dummy vents these also will need to be carried through. Look at what other people have done with the same style of properties and decide what you like

If you want Lead work or Georgian bars make sure it fits the property, you may like it but it may not fit your style of house, if know body else in the street or close has it, then it probably isn’t the right thing to do
